26 ( +1 | -1 ) A just cause for complaintI notice that several players whom I defeated when they had ratings at or a little below mine have since attained ratings much higher than mine. But I get no credit for this. All I got was a lousy 9 or 10 points instead of 12 or 13 points. Boo hoo! :(

38 ( +1 | -1 ) Oh the injustice of it,Perhaps you should have tried harder and lost to them, and then when the time came for you to wreak righteous vengeance upon their unworthy hides, you would have received the points you undoubtedly deserve, not to mention the accolades of the fawning multitudes of jealous chess folk. It is so discouraging to observe how the hard workers have all the good luck. :)

39 ( +1 | -1 ) Pyramid schemeOnce you beat someone, you should be entitled to a percentage of whatever ratings increase they subsequently gain. If you were to beat some beginner who later became the next Bobby Fischer, you would never have to play another game in your life, and you will still eventually become a Grand Master. I wonder why no one ever thought of it before.
