♡ 19 ( +1 | -1 ) e4 e5 Nf32.Nf3 is the mos non-commital... Most e4 e5 lines come out of this including the spanish, italian, and scotch games. Also worth trying are Kings Gambit (f4) Vienna Game (Nc3) and Center Counter (d4)
♡ 21 ( +1 | -1 ) Depends on what you call, 'best'The KG is a very good attacking opening, but then so is the evans gambit and the Max Lange attack. you just have to pick which suits your style best. However, the KG is a good place to start.
♡ 36 ( +1 | -1 ) Max Lange is crazy!I THINK the Max Lange is 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. d4 White can get some EXTREMELY interesting positions but I think in most of the main lines black has no problem. I would try the King's Gambit. I used to play that alot. TONS of opportunities for sacs and little tricks, not to mention a ready made attack down the f-file and a two pawn center in many main lines.
♡ 26 ( +1 | -1 ) Bishop's opening...A real simple one... 1. e4 e5 2. Bc4... Leaves room for a quick f4 and after 0-0 creates even more pressure than normal of the relatively-weak f7 pawn. Great opening if you're lowly rated like me and want to follow simple themes in your openings.
♡ 21 ( +1 | -1 ) my favoriteis the vienna game. 1.e4,e5 2.Nc3,Nf6(or Nc6) and 3.f4. lately i've tried halloween gambit against 2...Nc6 (1.e4,e5 2.Nc3,Nc6 3.Nf3,Nf6 4.Nxe5). but i don't think i will play it in really serious matches. i like to play king's gambit too, sometimes with 3.Bc4 instead of Nf3.
♡ 24 ( +1 | -1 ) If your game starts out.......1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 try the Ponziani Opening 3.c3.The move may look slow and non-developing,but White can get some really virulent attacks if Black doesn't know how to proceed right. A good book on the opening is Ponziani Power by CC master David Taylor.
♡ 21 ( +1 | -1 ) Urusov Gambitin the Bishop's Opening is a great attacking gambit! As fun as the King's Gambit, maybe a bit more risky -- but not as risky as the Halloween Gambit premium_steve mentioned. Give it a try! There is some good internet info on it too.
♡ 14 ( +1 | -1 ) What about the Latvian Gambit?On 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 black can play also f5. On 2.Bc4 move f5 can be playable too. i would advise to play wienna game 1.e4 e5 2. Nc3 and if Nc6 then 3.f4 with interesting play.
